The Strategy aims at seeing Local Governments mobilize, collect and manage its own Revenue to enhance efficiency in service delivery.

While launching the Strategy at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala today, the Minister for Local Government Rafael Magyezi stressed that Local governments no longer need to over rely on the central government, in situations where they are at liberty to mobilize, collect and manage their own Revenue.

"This Strategy brings us an opportunity to do more, because the more you collect as a local government, the more you exercise your autonomy, and the more you spend on your local priorities. " Said Magyezi.
