List of successful applicants to join Uganda Police

Early February this year, the Uganda Police Force (UPF) announced Two thousand (2500) Probational Police Constable vacancies and invited applications from suitably qualified Ugandans interested in joining the institution.

During the weekly media briefing held at the Police headquarters on March 04th, 2024, the Police spokesperson Fred Enanga disclosed to the public that about 17,000 Ugandans had so far successfully navigated the process of applying and are headed for the next step.

UPF has now released the list of successful applicants and invited them for interviews after which the shortlisted group will undergo yet another phase of interview scheduled to start on April 08th, 2024. The interviews will include medical examination, Fitness test, Aptitude and Oral test.

Police warns politicians against politicizing Kabaka Birthday Run

Uganda Prisons register over 5000 cases of the contagious Red eyes infection

Photo - JK By our reporter While addressing the media at Naguru Police headquarters in Kampala today, the Spokesperson Frank Baine noted that approximately 5905 cases have so far been registered, of which 4704 have fully recovered, 1201 are still active and under treatment. Baine added that there are currently no critical cases and have never registered any deaths. The outbreak of the Conjunctivitis {Red Eyes disease} was confirmed by the Kampala Capital City Authority {KCCA} and the ministry of health early last month. Earlier today, Baine implored members of the public who wish to visit the inmates to first ascertain that they are not infected to avoid spreading the infection.  He also highlighted on the prisons facilities that have been so far affected by the infection as follows.
