Police on the hunt for two brothers who assaulted their cheating mother with her manfriend.

The two brothers on the run are Ivan Opio and Andrew Onenge both residents of Akaramai village, Kamom parish, in Bukedea district for alleged attempted murder at Bukedea Central Police Station.

According to the territorial Police in East Kyoga region, on March 20, 2024, the two siblings returned home at around 2200hrs, and found their mother Melidah Asikeit, hosting her manfriend identified as Joseph Omerikol in the marital bed during the absentia of their father Isaac Ogwanga, which could have irritated them, and they subsequently picked machetes and ascended upon their own mother and the manfriend, inflicting serious injuries on them.

The two victims were rushed to Bukedea Health Centre IV hospital for medical attention, as police initiates a serious hunt for the two offenders.

While addressing the fourth estate at the Police headquarters in Kampala today, the police Spokesperson Fred Enanga condemned the irrational act by the children against their own biological mother.

" We do strongly condemn such acts of violent attacks against biological parents by children. It is a serious abomination. Mothers deserve all the respect from their children, no matter the circumstances." Said Enanga.
